Tewkesbury School
The works comprise of the refurbishment, alterations and extension to the English block including associated Mechanical and Electrical works.
- The works were undertaken in two phases to minimise disruption to the school and their daily activities.
- Complete strip out of all existing furniture and furnishings, demolition of all internal walls and the installation of new metal stud partitioning to transform the layout of the English block.
- Extensive removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials.
- New Mechanical and Electrical installations.
- Removal and disposal of all existing windows and external doors, infill areas of the external walls and the supply and installation of new aluminium windows and external doors.
- Transformation of the ‘tired’ looking brickwork building with new cladding and external render.
- Construction of Reception extension with the relocation of existing Reception.
- Construction of new Visitor car park with associated external works to provide a new entrance to the school.
- New finishes throughout including flooring, decorations, and suspended ceilings.
- Complete refurbishment of all toilets to provide Unisex WCs and Staff WCs.
- Supply and installation of teaching walls to all English classrooms.
- New internal veneered doors throughout with large glazed screens to English classrooms.
