The construction of 54 dwellings on the edge of the Temple Key Development
- Extremely close liaison with English Heritage and the Conservation Department of Bristol City Council to ensure that the scheme proposals were fully in accordance with their specifications and guidelines.
- Existing buildings are to be stabilized and renovated, with the new build elements being constructed using timber frame technology.
- The development comprises of 4 No buildings which are detailed as follows:
- Block A – Grade II Listed 19th Century Warehouse – retained and upgraded / converted to residential property.
- Block B – Grade II Listed 19th Century Warehouse Offices – retained and upgraded / converted to residential property.
- Block C – 6 Storey New Build (Timber Frame from Steel Podium) built to link to and compliment the retained structures to form one building.
- Block D – 5 Storey New Build (Timber Frame) built to link to and compliment the retained structures to form one building
- We were delighted when the project received a Civic Trust Award 2010 for Conservation and Sustainability from the Bristol Civic Society.
