Supporting Swindon Fire Brigade with Real-World Training at Berkeley Close

We were delighted to help out the Swindon fire brigade at our site in Berkeley Close, South Cerney. Before the demolition phase begins, we collaborated with our client, Bromford Housing, to provide the fire brigade with an opportunity for vital training. They used the soon-to-be-demolished houses to practice forced entry tactics, refining their skills in a realistic and controlled environment.

For the fire brigade, training in real-world conditions is invaluable. These exercises help them prepare for the challenges they face when responding to emergencies. The houses at Berkeley Close offered a perfect setting for this important practice.

This initiative is a great example of how we aim to create social value wherever we work. By opening up the site to the fire brigade, we ensured that the houses served a meaningful purpose before their demolition.

None of this would have been possible without the efforts of our site team, who worked closely with the fire brigade to make this training possible. We’d also like to thank the South Cerney fire brigade for their incredible work in keeping our communities safe. It’s an honour to play a small part in supporting their essential efforts.

At E G Carter & Co Ltd, we’re proud to contribute to the well-being of the communities we work in and look forward to more opportunities to make a difference.
