Second Year Management Trainee starts his HNC with the role of Site Manager in his sights

Over the past 46 weeks Management Trainee, Robert Mustoe, has worked alongside Kevin Thomas on a new development in Tupsley, Hereford.

Robert, a second year B-TECH Level 3 student, has been with the Company for 2 years, learning the ropes and working his way up to become a Site Manager. Throughout his time on site he has learnt a range of skills that have helped him progress into his future role. Some of these skills include: Health & Safety Management, checking works are complete, making sure snagging is correct, ordering materials, reading and understanding drawings and shadowing the more experienced employees.

“It’s been a great learning experience and I have taken invaluable skills away from this site that I am now able to use on future sites. I’m excited to complete my HNC and progress to my goal of Site Manager”

The 46 week project consists of the construction of 17 new homes for rent and shared ownership along with external works. Regional Manager, Mathew Vye, expressed his enthusiasm to working with Herefordshire Housing on this project “Working with Herefordshire Housing is the start of a great new partnership, we are looking forward to what the future holds with them”

The 17 new homes will be handed over to Herefordshire Housing at the end of June 2017.
