Over the last six weeks, Brywn has been gaining valuable work experience by working on-site once a week at Alderman Knight School. Brywn is currently learning the basic skills including Health & Safety, laboring, carpentry as well as shadowing the more experienced tradesmen who contain a wealth of knowledge.
Adrian Gladwin, Site Manager at Alderman Knight School, explained “Brwyn has a lot of potential to eventually be a great tradesman; he is enthusiastic, driven and passionate about the construction industry. It’s a pleasure having him on site”
Work at Alderman Knight School consists of enhancing the original building by constructing its own Post 16 Centre. It will cater for 15 pupils and add to the provision for children with learning difficulties at the School. This will allow the sixth form students to have their own space and includes an ICT suite, a large common room, three classroom spaces and break-out rooms for smaller groups.
