Phil Barnes, Associate Director at E G Carter & Co Ltd and Steve Trenwith, Land and Planning Director, Sovereign met to lay some ceremonial bricks and mark progress at the site, which is expected to house new residents in early 2022.
Sovereign Housing Association is investing around £8m into new community in Yate supported by over £2m grant funding from Homes England. Works will compromise of 45 new one, two and three-bedroom homes all available for social rent and nestled in the heart of Yate, South Gloucestershire.
Steve Trenwith, Land and Planning Director, Sovereign, said, ‘It’s been great to be able to celebrate our progress here today after such an unusual year, and we’re excited to breathe new life into Yate with these much-needed new homes. At Sovereign we believe in creating and investing in our communities for the long-term and we couldn’t be happier to see these new homes taking shape. We’re looking forward to seeing residents move into their new homes in the near future.’
