Corinne Davies, Sales Executive at Allstone explained “It is great that two family businesses are continuing their relationship after working closely together for 35 years. Incorporating E G Carter & Co Ltd with our Sue Ryder initiative is something we are very proud of, for each pink skip that is hired we donate £10 to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice. E G Carter & Co Ltd approached us and asked us to replace their usual 8-yard builders skip with the pink Sue Ryder skips and they will match our donation meaning the charity will benefit with double the proceeds. We are thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with such a great company, here is to another 35 years of doing business together.”

Sue Ryder support people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they are there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

Matthew Reay, Senior Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, “All our volunteers, Sue Ryder Nurses, care and support staff are absolutely thrilled to have the big-hearted backing of two such prominent family run businesses in Gloucestershire in E G Carter and Co and Allstones. Their support will make a huge difference to families needing our care. To give you an idea of what their support means the £9,000 donated by Allstone’s pink skips initiative could pay for 473 hours of our expert and compassionate palliative care.

"It’s especially poignant to have their support this year, in the World Health Organisation's 'Year of the Nurse', celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. The funds raised by this partnership will raise vital funds so our Sue Ryder Nurses can continue to be there when it matters for local families. Thank you.”
