E G Carter & Co Ltd get festive at the £15 Million Regeneration Culverhay, Cricklade.

E G Carter & Co ltd were delighted to donate and host a Christmas tree light turn on at the £15 Million-pound regeneration scheme in Culverhay, Cricklade.

On Tuesday 18th December, E G Carter & Co Ltd were joined by a local family as they turned the Christmas tree lights on. The tree has been planted on the corner of the regeneration scheme and will continue to be a feature year on year.

Alex Marles, Senior Surveyor at E G Carter & Co Ltd said “Donating this Christmas tree was something that we wanted to do to bring some festive cheer to the development. We have planted the tree on the corner so that it will be seen by all as they drive or walk past. It’s a small gesture that will hopefully put a smile on the residents faces.”

The Christmas tree was donated by TFN Landscapes Ltd who are currently completing the landscaping and fencing works on phase 2 of the project.

The £15 Million-pound regeneration project includes plans to demolish 65 older properties in total, replacing them with 109 energy efficient and comfortable homes, which will be a mixture of shared ownership, affordable rent and outright sale.

Work began on phase two of the project in January this year, which saw six bungalows demolished and five bungalows and nine houses built in their place. Phase two was successfully completed in September, with residents moving into their new homes and many set to enjoy their first Christmas in them.

Corrina Johnson, Development Manager at GreenSquare said: "We are very pleased with the progress that’s been made on the Culverhay regeneration project this year. The residents have been really involved and supportive which is great, and it has been wonderful to see the improvements taking shape. We are already progressing well with phase three, with completion due mid-next year, ahead of schedule."
