E G Carter & Co Ltd are the Main Sponsors of Gloucester 10k for a Fourth Year.

Nine hundred runners are due to line up for Gloucester running event.

Sunday, July 4, will mark the Eighth year of the event rescued by Davies and Partners in co-ordination with Gloucester Quays Rotary Club as one of the city's premier sporting events.

Nigel Tillott, Director at Davies and Partners said “I am delighted that provided covid continues to behave the Gloucester 10k will be back this July.

The support of the local community is massively appreciated and typified by Carters great support for the race again. This really is a race put on by the community, for the community with all proceeds going back into the community”.

City-based construction firm E G Carter & Co Ltd has agreed to be the main sponsors of the 10k for a fourth year.

Kimberley Clay, Marketing and Communications Manager at E G Carter & Co Ltd said “We are delighted to be the main sponsors of the Gloucester 10k for a fourth year running, the race has always been a huge success and the organisation of the race is spot on, all the marshals that you see while running cheer you on. This race is a great advert for what Gloucester can do and we are excited to do the same again this year.”

Every year the race seeks to raise money for county charities, and this year beneficiaries will be The Hollie Gazzard Trust and Winstons’ Wish.

Nick Gazzard, Founder of The Hollie Gazzard Trust said “The Hollie Gazzard Trust are delighted to have been selected as charity partner for the 2021 Run Gloucester 10k. Gloucester is our home city, and the Trust has received incredible support from local people and businesses since its creation. We are very grateful to the organises for selecting the Trust as their charity partner and we would like to thank all those that participate and donate. The funds raised from the Gloucester 10k will help us make an enormous difference to the lives of vulnerable people in Gloucestershire and beyond”.

The course is designed with sightseeing in mind but is predominantly flat taking in Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Docks and the Quays. The race is also offering a virtual version to allow those who may not want to run that route to take part also.
