Creating Space to Play at Parton Manor Primary School

As part of our 80th anniversary celebrations, where we’re aiming to support 80 organisations and charities throughout the year, the E G Carter & Co Ltd team was delighted to lend a hand to Parton Manor Primary School in the first stage of their exciting Parton Play Initiative.

Working together with our valued supply chain partners JB Construction and Allstone, we helped create new and imaginative play features for the children to enjoy. This included excavating and constructing a brand-new sand pit, complete with timber sleepers supplied by JB Construction and sand and stone donated by Allstone.

We also built a fun crawl-through tunnel system, arranged in a four-way cross, adding a new element of adventure and exploration to the playground. While on site, the excavator was also used to clear overgrown areas and start a nature area, giving pupils the chance to continue the work and make the space their own.

Speaking about the project, Joshua Carter, Managing Director at E G Carter & Co Ltd, said:

“We are very pleased to have been able to support Parton Manor School with the initial phase of their Parton Play Initiative. What the school are aiming to achieve will be a huge benefit for all of the children at Parton Manor. We are extremely grateful for the support of two hugely valued and respected members of our supply chain, Allstone and JB Construction — this is a brilliant example of how teamwork and collaboration can have a hugely beneficial impact on the local community.”

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing more joy and creativity to playtimes at Parton Manor and look forward to seeing the space continue to grow and inspire the children for years to come.
