E G Carter & Co Ltd have officially completed and handover over the 18 new affordable homes to Magna Housing at Nokoto Drive, Bridgewater.
18 affordable homes, which is 16 more than the original planning consent three years ago, are now complete and occupied.
Those involved in the project held an official handover ceremony to celebrate the new homes.
Tony Murray, Housing Director at Magna Housing, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer these homes to local families who need them. The demand was high, which shows we are providing the right homes in the right place.”
Duncan Harvey, Housing Development Manager at Sedgemoor District Council, said: “As a Council we have a huge housing challenge trying to help the ever-growing numbers of people seeking our help to simply find somewhere to live. Projects like helps us rise this challenge.
These houses will form part of Sedgemoor’s housing programme which will help us to meet the ever increasing demand for housing locally.”
