This is a full-time permanent position for a material scheduler to join a fast-paced friendly team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience. You should be able to work in a team but work autonomously where needed.
Job description summary:
Carry out the production of multiple material schedules for a range of construction projects by producing high quality and accurate schedules that can be utilised by both the production, commercial and support teams to facilitate accurate and timely material purchases that drive forward site progress and enhance Company margin.
Required skills and experience:
- An ability to take-off construction materials and build up material schedules in a standardised format that can be utilised by other staff to order materials to a full range of diverse and challenging construction projects.
- An ability to liaise effectively with the design and production teams to ensure the validity of information provided and that the schedules produced are accurate and comply totally with all current legislation, contract drawings, specification and contractors proposals.
- A thorough understanding of construction specification, technology and regulation in order to question and interrogate material specifications to ensure the correct detailing and scheduling of materials.
- Accuracy, patience, clarity and consistency must be demonstrated in the production of material schedules which are to be utilised throughout the Company irrespective of team dynamic.
- To demonstrate an ability to produce materials schedules that are clear and concise in a timely manner that can really make a difference to enhancing Company performance.
